1903 Barber Quarter

Another Philadelphia Mint issue with a relatively high mintage, the 1903 Barber Quarter (Buy on eBay) can be surprisingly elusive to find in grades AU and above. The mintage was just under 10 million, but apparently these coins circulated heavily and few were saved. The circulation strike shows a low certified population in gem grades a higher. The example shown above is a nicely toned proof which has been certified by PCGS.
